Pharmaceutical industry

Wheat and rice derivatives, like starches and proteins, are excellent excipients in the pharmaceutical industry due to their colour, granulometry, safety, insolubility and hygroscopy characteristics. Thanks to its adhesive and film-forming properties, starch is widely used in the pharmaceutical industry for producing tablets and pills.

What products can be made from our raw materials:

  • Tablets
  • Pills

Cosmetic industry

In the modern cosmetic industry, starches are widely used to provide an efficient, natural and organic cleanliness, respecting the environment.

Due to their softening and lenitive properties, they are often used as gelling agents, as well as components to prepare face masks and compresses. In the cosmetic field, rice starch in particular has always been valued for its absorbent and refreshing properties.

It is widely used in creams and ointments with a relieving action, and is indicated for the treatment of nappy rash in infants. Rice starch has a calming effect, absorbs sweat and speeds up the clearance of the rash.

Their absorbing, lenitive and calming qualities make rice and wheat starches perfect for the cosmetic industry.

What products can be made from our raw materials:

  • Baby cosmetic products
  • Soaps
  • Shower gels
  • Gentle cleansers
  • Deodorants

Paper industry

In order to satisfy all customer requests, we provide native and modified starches for the paper industry. Thanks to their binding agents, white colour, steady viscosity and gelatinization at low temperatures, wheat starches are particularly suitable for the technical and paper industries.

As a paper coating component, starch reduces uneven surfaces, increases sparkle, improves printing qualities thanks to its controlled porosity, and enhances conservation.

Wheat starch is also used as glue in the technical industry: several types of paper and cardboard are characterised by multiple layers, especially packaging and tags. Wheat starch-based glues are employed to assemble different kinds of cardboard, particularly in packaging.

What products can be made from our raw materials:

  • Corrugated cardboard
  • Wrap
  • Paper
  • Laminated paper
  • Industrial labels

Animal feed industry

Wheat and rice proteins and byproducts are functional ingredients, rich in energy and nutrient values for animal feed.

These products are used in the livestock and pet industries because they are easily digestible, protein-rich and low-fibre.

What products can be made from our raw materials:

  • Sheep feed
  • Cattle feed
  • Swine feed
  • Fish feed
  • Pet feed
